This year sees the 70th anniversary of the design of the No 7, No 8 and No 9 chairs by Helger Sibast - icons of Danish craftsmanship and quality. To celebrate, we are offering 20% off the prices of four specific finish combinations until 31 May 2023.
Surrounded by wood of the finest quality, Helge Sibast felt at home in the workshop and had a natural urge to explore the art of furniture making. The skills and the passion were passed on to him from his father, who founded the family company in 1908. Ever since, excellent quality and craftsmanship have been the guiding principles of Sibast Furniture.
The iconic pieces created by Helge Sibast in 1953 encapsulate the power and beauty of the Danish Modern movement. The Sibast No 8 chair’s characteristic Y-shaped legs, floating seat and moulded backrest demand high-quality craftsmanship in order to achieve the unique expression. The bold and complex design of the iconic chair was perfected by Helge Sibast in the workshop and has an inherent beauty that transcends time and place. A true design classic to treasure and pass on to future generations. The Sibast No 9 chair combines the hovering seat and the distinctive inverted 'Y' shaped leg of the No 8 chair with the enveloping curved backrest of the No 7 chair to create its own satisfying identity.
