Description
Tortello Sofa by Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby for B&B Italia. True to its name, Tortello is a monolithic sofa that captivates with its generous, soft, and inviting forms. Its design comprises a supporting structure crafted from recycled polyethylene which is then completed by an elastomer mattress on which the foamed upper element is laid, a soft fabric-covered volume characterised by a peculiar profile thanks to a ‘pinched’ stitching. This eco-conscious sofa features a responsible manufacturing process that utilises cutting-edge technologies and premium materials. Despite its minimal use of polyurethane, Tortello guarantees softness through targeted construction methods. The thoughtful choice of materials and adhesive-free assembly not only ensures durability but also allows for easy disassembly, making Tortello an environmentally conscious and recyclable addition to any space.
