Nagasaki Dining Chair by Mathieu Matégot for Gubi. Originally designed in 1954 Nagasaki remains the most well known piece created by Matégot. This lightweight dining chair is made of perforated sheet metal and features unique details, such as the little stirrup that holds the seat and legs together. The curved seat and back follow a similar form of a saddle allowing a comfortable seating position. Today, the dining chair is part of the permanent collection at the internationally renowned, privately owned Vitra Design Museum. Seat shell is available in cream white or soft black semi-matt.
