Wilhelm Wagenfeld
Wilhelm Wagenfeld
Born in 1900 in Bremen, Germany, Wagenfeld is perhaps most famous for his work and teaching with the Bauhaus collective in the 1920's. After leaving them he continued to teach and design in Germany throughout the Nazi regime, eventually being sent to the Eastern Front and finishing the war in a Russian prisoner of war camp. Wagenfeld was heavily involved in design until his death in 1990 in Stuttgart. Aram Store stocks Wagenfeld’s eponymous table lamp, perhaps one of the most beloved and perennially popular pieces to be designed during the Bauhaus movement.
