Collection: Carl Hansen & Søn
Carl Hansen & Søn furniture is the epitome of the Danish design tradition: combining exceptional quality, sustainable production and passionate craftsmanship to manufacture timeless modern design classics that captivate discerning audiences around the world.
Timeless beauty, comfort, craftsmanship, and sustainability are so deeply ingrained in all our furniture works that only sight and touch are required to understand and fall in love with them.
- Knud Erik Hansen, CEO and owner
A family company for over 100 years, Carl Hansen & Søn have produced some of the most recognisable icons of Scandinavian furniture design, maintaining a strong focus on preserving Danish design classics while continuing to expand their collection to represent influential new designers. Along with working with the very best designers and the finest materials, Carl Hansen & Søn has a long-standing commitment to driving sustainable development. During every step of the production process, the company works to create both big picture strategies and simple, everyday solutions that help them care for people and for the planet. From investing in the most modern and energy efficient equipment to the ambitious goals set for their production practices, Carl Hansen & Søn strives to leave behind nothing but beautiful furniture and a legacy of uncompromising craftsmanship.
The company is best known for Hans J Wegner designs such as the legendary CH24, 'The Wishbone Chair' and CH25 Lounge Chair, introduced in 1950, and the CH07 Shell Chair from 1963. Also in the collection is the OW149 Colonial Chair designed by Ole Wanscher in 1959, and the MG501 Cuba Chair from 1997.
