Miyazaki Chair

Miyazaki Chair is a Japanese furniture manufacturer specialising in wooden chairs, aiming to create products with high quality, meaningful, and original designs that will be loved and cherished for many years. The factory was founded in 1969 in Tokushima, Japan. After cultivating traditional Japanese furniture, the factory started producing their own designs in 2000.

At the core of the manufacturing process lies a focus on ‘design’ and ‘technology’. By integrating the best aspects of handwork and machine processing, Miyazaki Chair has developed its own unique factory technology. The designs mainly evolve through workshops, where leading domestic and international designers collaborate onsite with Miyazaki’s in-house craftsmen. 

In 2000, the factory began collaborating with renowned designers, including Japanese designers Kazuteru Murasawa and Makoto Koizumi, as well as European designers Inoda+Sveje, among others. This collaboration has allowed the factory to produce unique and high-quality designs that combine the best of Japanese and Danish craftsmanship and aesthetics. Renowned Danish designers Kai Kristiansen and Kristian Vedel have entrusted Miyazaki Chair to revive many of their iconic designs, further showcasing the factory's superb level of craftsmanship.
