Astep is a contemporary lighting brand founded in 2014 by Alessandro Sarfatti, grandson of renowned Italian lighting pioneer Gino Sarfatti. Based in Copenhagen, the company builds on a three-generation family legacy that began with Arteluce, established by Gino, and continued with Luceplan, co-founded by Alessandro’s parents. The name “Astep” reflects an ongoing journey of progress—the ambition to improve on the past by blending a deep respect for tradition with the possibilities of modern digital technology.
