Description
This pot is a part of a tea and coffee set, designed by Marianne Brandt in 1924. Only one complete set is known to exist whilst the tea pot alone, on the other hand, is in several museums. This reproduction was manufactured from technical drawings held in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Of the set, the tea pot is the part which most strictly follows the formal principles of the Bauhaus school. Circle, globe and square are the basic forms of the construction. Handmade from 925/1000 Sterling silver with ebony inserts.
