Description

The Organic Conference Chair designed by Charles Eames & Eero Saarinen in 1940, made by Vitra, was developed as part of their entry to the 'Organic Design in Home Furnishing' competition held by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The sculptural shape was ahead of its time - not until 1950 did it become possible to manufacture organically shaped seat shells in large quantities. This comfortable chair is ideally suited for table seating with a seat height of 420mm.
