Description

Vitra DAL Eames Plastic Armchair with La Fonda base by Charles and Ray Eames, part of the Eames Plastic Chair Collection. The acronym stands for Dining-height, Arm-chair, La-fonda base: the shells of the chairs were developed for the Museum of Moderm Art's Low-Cost Furniture Design Competition in 1950 and they were paired with the base in 1961 for the legendary New York restaurant La Fonda del Sol, whose interior was designed by Alexander Girard. RE recycled post-consumer plastic.

Specifications

Polypropylene shell made from 100% recycled post-consumer plastic. Due to the nature of the recycled material, the different colour variations of the seat shells are interspersed with tiny specks of pigment.

La Fonda base in die-cast aluminium (95% recycled material) - polished, or powder coated in basic dark or white.
