Description
Alvar Aalto 115 Umbrella Stand for Artek. Originally designed in 1936 this piece marries birch and brass in a unique design featuring three solid birch pillars connected by hand-bent lamella loops. The construction of 115 Umbrella Stand involves the collaborative effort of two individuals to bend the specially crafted lamella loops, which boast a single seam for added durability. At the core of its design, a triangular base houses a brass pan, positioned to capture and collect any rainwater droplets. The brass surface will naturally evolve, developing a distinctive patina over time. Please contact the store for more information.
