Kathleen Reilly

A graduate of The Glasgow School of Art and the Royal College of Art, Reilly has developed an internationally recognised practice spanning the UK and Japan.  Particularly known for her collaborations with Japanese craftspeople, most notably in Tsubame-Sanjo, where centuries-old metalworking traditions informed the development of Oku —her award-winning knife design that challenges conventional Western tableware. Winner of the 2022 Dezeen Homeware Design of the Year award, Oku exemplifies her approach to design: functional, elegant and quietly disruptive.
