Inspired by the spirit of traditional Japanese straw tatami, this handcrafted Dhurrie rug blends 50% dyed New Zealand wool with 50% natural jute to create a balanced, tactile, and tranquil floor covering. The natural sheen and structure of jute combine beautifully with the gentle softness of wool, offering a sensory experience that invites you to step barefoot and feel a refreshing touch of Asia beneath your feet. Each rug is manually woven on vertical or horizontal looms, where the interplay of weft and warp creates lightweight, knot-free Dhurries known for their firmness, durability, geometric patterns, and easy maintenance.
