Panton Chair Classic

Verner Panton spent many years thinking about how to produce a plastic chair moulded in one piece. He came up with the first prototypes in 1959-1960 and first collaborated with Vitra in 1963 to develop the design. The classic Panton Chair went into series production in 1967, subsequently winning both acclaim and awards. Unlike the more accessible standard Panton Chair in batch-dyded polypropylene, the Panton Chair Classic is made of rigid expanded plastic and has a lacquered surface. It is covered by a ten year warranty.
