Japan Chair

Japan Chair by Finn Juhl for House of Finn Juhl. Originally designed in 1957, The Japan Chair has a classic aesthetic with a wooden frame and is upholstered in leather or fabric. A feature of the lounge chair is the separation between the backrest and the supporting frame with the use of brass brackets. The curvy shape combined with a solid horizontal backrest which rests on slightly tapered legs is inspired by a traditional Japanese temple door which stays true to the original design which reigned in the 50’s.
