    DAR Eames Upholstered Armchair

    Vitra DAR Eames Plastic Armchair RE with upholstery, by Charles and Ray Eames, made from recycled plastic. The DAR chair (Dining height, Arm chair, Rod base) stands out as an inimitable classic design combining light, elegant forms with structural strength in the intricate steel wire construction of its 'Eiffel' base. Since the early 1950s, when Charles and Ray Eames developed their Plastic Chairs, these chairs have become icons of American mid-century modernism.

    Specifications

    W: 630 x D: 590 x SH: 430 H: 830 mm

    RE: seat shell made from post-consumer recycled polypropylene, 100% recyclable. It is made from German household waste collected in the 'Der Gelbe Sack' (Yellow Bag) system and primarily from used packaging.

    Due to the composition of the recycled material, the different colour variations of the seat shells are interspersed with tiny specks of pigment.

    Steel rod base in a choice of finishes: chromed, black or white, felt glides for hard floors (nylon glides for carpet also available).
