Description

Artek 406 Armchair by Alvar Aalto, a cantilevered armchair with a birch frame and linen webbed seat which offers a high degree of comfort and relaxation; the natural materials yield in response to the body while simultaneously providing strength and stability. As a natural material, wood changes over time; the frame is formed from a single piece that is then split in half, ensuring that as the chair ages, it remains perfectly balanced.
