Sibast No 2 Extendable Table

This Autumn, we are pleased to offer 20% off the Sibast No 2 extendable dining table. The table is an interpretation of this timeless design from the late 1950s and respects Helge Sibast’s design philosophy that a chair should never be hidden under a table, but placed beside it. It was designed by Anna and Ditlev Sibast.

The Sibast No 2 extendable dining table has an elegant minimalistic design that takes inspiration from the design philosophy of Helge Sibast. The table adds incorporated extensions giving the possibility to store the extension leaves inside the table itself when not in use.

Available in a choice of wood finishes - oiled oak, soaped oak, smoked oak, dark oiled oak and walnut - supplied with one extension leaf. An additional extension leaf may be purchased separately.

Designed by Helge Sibast in 1953, the Sibast No 8 dining chair soon found its way into homes around the world, admired for its sublime quality, iconic design and exceptional craftsmanship. With its characteristic Y-shaped legs, floating seat and press-moulded backrest, the chair reflects a bold and complex design perfected by Helge Sibast in the workshop.
