Carlo Mollino

Carlo Mollino (6 May 1905 – 27 August 1973) was an Italian architect, designer, and photographer based in Turin. He worked across architecture, interior design, furniture, photography, and writing, and also designed a racing car and competed in aerobatic flying.

His furniture was often designed as components of complete interiors rather than standalone objects. Strongly influenced by Expressionism, Futurism and Surrealism, the designs are sculptural and utilise materials such as solid wood, plywood and glass.
