Montana Møbler A/S was founded by Peter J. Lassen in 1982. The company is a family-owned company based in Haarby on the island of Funen in Denmark where the production takes place at a high-technological production site covering 19,000 square metres. Montana has around 200 employees and has its own sales organisation in Denmark and in most European markets. The company is now run by Peter's son Joakim, who is the fifth generation of his family to work with furniture and the great-grandson of renowned manufacturer Fritz Hansen.
Montana Møbler A/S produces and supplies shelving systems, tables, and chairs for homes and modern office environments. The Montana modular shelving system was designed by Peter J. Lassen. The flexible and versatile system and the inspiring colour palette offer the freedom to create your own personal room and to personalize your style. Montana's table and chair series are designed by Arne Jacobsen, Verner Panton, Andreas Hansen, Peter J. Lassen, Joakim Lassen and schmidt hammer lassen design.
The Montana System gives you endless possibilities – with 36 basis modules, 4 depths and more than 40 water-based colour lacquers, you can create a storage solution that are tailored just as you like. The system is made from robust 12mm MDF; most pieces have options for wall-mounting, plinth mounting, castors or metal legs in matt chrome, brass or matching lacquer colours. In 2019, the Montana System was certified with the EU Ecolabel, guaranteeing you sustainable, high-quality furniture which is safe for both the environment and your home.
