Description
Designed in 1941 for a chemical company in France, the Table S.A.M. Bois - or 'Table Salle à Manger Bois' - is the precursor to Jean Prouvé's metal based EM table. Due to the scarcity of metal during World War II, the table was designed with wooden legs but the structure still exemplifies Prouvé’s construction methods: its structural details illustrate the interplay of forces and stresses.
Choose from five lengths - 1800mm, 2000mm, 2200mm, 2400mm or 2600mm - and choose from three wood finishes - natural oak, dark oak or American walnut. The metal brace is painted black with a smooth finish.
