December Ottoman by Jasper Morrison and Wataru Kumano for Nikari. This is the ottoman to accompany the December Lounge Chair (which can be seen below) although it can also be used as a stand alone piece. Constructed with a solid wood frame with a leather or canvas sling which wraps around the frame. Featuring a light minimalist look combined with exceptional craftmanship the December Ottoman bears a traditional Nordic aesthetic. In 2012 Nikari asked twelve designers or design studios to give their response to Nikari’s design philosophy in the form of a product. The project was called Project 2012 Designs for Nature: Nikari cooperates with WWF Finland and part of the sales price is donated to protecting forests globally.
