COR Sitzmöbel

In 1954 Prince Bentheim Tecklenburg and Leo Lübke began manufacturing upholstered furniture in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Germany, under the name of COR - Latin for heart. This was because three hearts embellished the coat of arms of the founders. Barely a year later it was honoured with the first of many awards - the march of COR into the nation’s homes had begun. From the swinging sixties with ‘Conseta’ to the seventies with ‘Trio’, the eighties with ‘Zyklus’ right up to the award winning ‘Lava’ seating range launched in 2009.

COR furniture is built on a simple principle: only the best is good enough. Top quality materials, durability, excellent proportions and a great deal of skill are the ingredients which allow COR to guarantee that their furniture is of the highest quality and will have a long life.
