Description
Thonet S33 V 'Soft' Cantilever Side Chair by Mart Stam. Widely regarded as the first cantilever chair design, through his experimentation with metal gas pipes from 1925, Mart Stam's design has been updated by Thonet to offer fabric seat and back slings instead of leather. The purist design has been turned into a homely chair that looks soft and inviting without sacrificing its cubic shape or characteristic clean lines. The chair coordinates easily with the S34 V cantilever arm chair, both of which are available with frames in chrome, matt black or matt pearl white finishes.
