Isokon Gull Bookstand by Egon Riss for Isokon. Named 'Gull' as the sculpture is reminiscent of a bird, this bookstand is made from birch and can be easily transported to any surface or floor within the home. Originally designed in 1939 when there were only 15 made as production had to stop due a shortage of materials because of the Second World War. It took until 2020 for the Isokon Gull bookstand to return to full production. Featuring two sides for book storage with a raised edge to ensure the contents remain. Isokon Gull also consists of a circular middle compartment where more flexible reading material can be stored. Please contact the store for more information.
