Description
Channel Tray by David Searcy. Searcy is an emerging designer based in London who often explores the manipulation of standardised materials to form functional designs – apparent with his Channel series. The tray is manufactured from a standard piece of aluminium channel that is processed with parallel cuts at each end that allow the base surface to be bent at 45 degrees, forming an enclosure to contain small objects and valuables. Channel is an exercise in simplicity that achieves a high degree of functionality through the most efficient means. The incense holder from the same collection can be seen below.
