Working From Home

Working From Home

One consequence of the COVID-19 era is that working from home is becoming a key part of the 'new normal'. It might mean that you and your laptop are monopolising the dining table or taking over a corner of the sofa - either way, it's not an ideal long-term working environment. If working from home is becoming a regular part of your life, you will probably want to create a suitably functional and ergonomic working space to be most comfortable and productive. At its core this space will consist of a functional desk and desk chair, appropriate task lighting, and a storage solution as well.

At Aram Store, we have an extensive range of the things that you need to create an ideal home office. We have put together some suggestions of how they might be combined.

Shown above is a 150cm Haller desk in chrome with a pearl grey laminate top and a Haller modular storage system drawer pedestal in chrome and white lacquer, both by USM of Switzerland. The chair is an EA 217 Soft Pad by Charles and Ray Eames for Vitra, displayed in a polished aluminium frame and black leather. On the desk is a Flo desk lamp by Foster+Partners for designer lighting brand Lumina Italia and in the foreground is a white Laccio table by Marcel Breuer for Knoll.

The task lamp is the Daphinette LED by Tommaso Cimini for Lumina Italia and on the wall are Randomissimo A shelves by Industriedesign Neuland for MDF Italia.

The Compas Direction desk by Jean Prouvé is shown here in oak with Japanese red lacquer, along with Prouvé's Standard chair and a Funiculi table lamp by Lluis Porqueras for Marset. Storage is provided by Joe Colombo's iconic Boby 3/5 trolley and Arik Levy's Toolbox.
