Montana Mini and Mega
Danish designer Peter J Lassen created his Montana modular storage system in 1982 around a principle module of 5.7cm, which relates to the DIN universal paper size formats such as A4. 42 basic units in four depths in 40 lacquer colours and two wood veneers with a choice of legs, plinths, castors or wall-mounting and a plethora of shelf, door and drawer configurations means that there are literally millions of possibilities to create your own personal geometric design.
As the system has evolved over the years, Montana have sought to take the hard work out of creating these configurations and now offer 'ready-made' pieces, often on shortened lead times. The lastest in this line take the evolution one step further, breaking out from the basic units with Montana Mini and Montana Mega.
Montana Mini
Whether you choose a single module or a larger collection of multicoloured squares, the Montana Mini lets you create your own dream of storage space for your home. The series consists of a module that measures 35 x 35 x 25 centimetres in three variants: open, closed and with shelves. The three variants can be used as standalone modules or combined precisely according to your needs and personal style. UPDATE: New modules have been added to Montana Mini with drawers and open shelves, plus a mirror and pin board.
UPDATE: Montana Mini is no longer supplied with magnets. This is so that the units can be used in any orientation and still be placed together.
The modules snap together with strong magnets, securing that your storage is aligned while maintaining the pure, clean lines that make it a true Montana. The magnets have a matt, chrome finish, which are visible on either side of the module. The magnet is both a design detail that is unique to Montana Mini and a functional feature helping the Mini modules to align side by side. The modules can be placed on legs or hung on the wall.
Montana Mega
Montana Mega expands the Montana System with new sizes and a new approach; three heights, one width, one depth and fixed configurations. Nine designs. As simple as that. Three completely open modules perfectly presenting your personal treasures. Three modules with both open shelves and closed doors and drawers are a practical and good-looking mix. Three modules with only closed doors and drawers keep everything looking clean.

The new Montana Mega series is certified with the official EU Ecolabel. The objective of the label is to look at the product's entire life cycle, from raw material extraction to production, distribution and disposal to reduce the environmental impact.
