New Krusin Collection for Knoll

We have just taken delivery of the new Krusin Collection of chairs and tables designed by Marc Krusin for Knoll International and we even had the rare pleasure of welcoming a visit from the designer, himself, to the Store last week.  Now based in London, after spending the early part of his career based in Milan collaborating with various studios including Piero Lissoni’s office where he became Design Manager, Marc came in to present his new collection to our sales team and then entertained a brief Q&A which provided an invaluable insight into his inspiration and the manufacturing process behind each piece.

The collection consists of Lounge and Dining Chairs accompanied by a series of Low Tables.  The frame of each chair and table is formed from a selection of natural or stained hard woods and offers a new, low sheen urethane finish providing a much more natural look and feel.  The steam-bent top rail is deceptively comfortable and the seat of the chairs can be upholstered in a range of fabrics or leathers and even a natural, woven paper-rush.  Top surfaces for the table range can be chosen from clear glass, wood veneer or polyester coated marble.
