Description

Charles & Ray Eames designed their famous Lounge Chair and Ottoman in 1956, after years of development. Charles wanted something with the warm, receptive look of a well-used baseball mitt. It is now one of the most recognisable Mid-Century Modern designs. In 2006 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary, Vitra released a limited edition of 999 which sold out in days. Zeev Aram purchased two - editions 12 and 13 - recognising the investment that they represented, and is now offering them for sale as part of his 'Vintage Collection'.

Classic Dimensions - chair - W: 840 x D: 850 x SH: 380 H: 840mm ottoman - W: 630 x D: 560 x H: 420mm

Santos Rosewood laminate shell. The veneers of the chair shell and stool shell match perfectly.

Black Royaline leather which is extremely soft and supple, like glove leather.

Polished aluminium base with black sides and felt glides.

Condition

Excellent. Both editions have been boxed and unused for fourteen years, until displayed in store in August 2020.
