250 Cabinet by Alvar Aalto for Artek. Often referred to as the 'cocktail cabinet' it is simple in form yet celebratory in fuction. It's understatedly beautiful exterior means it works as a standalone centrepiece for living rooms and dining areas. It is the perfect storage unit for special tableware and refreshments, everything you would need for a party. It is relatively compact in size and a well-proportioned interior also makes it an attractive and effective storage unit for more every day items such as bed linen and clothing. While 250 Cabinet was originally accredited to Alvar Aalto owing to the inclusion of the L-leg it has the spirit of Aino Aalto running through it.
