Toulouse born Massaud graduated in 1990 from Les Ateliers, Ecole Nationale Superieuere de Creation Industrielle in Paris. His initial works in town planning lead him into architecture and furniture design. His 2005 designs for Cassina produced the Auckland armchair and Aspen sofa to great acclaim. Aram Store stocks both these items as well as his Aston lounge chair for Arper.
