Konstantin Grcic was born in Munich, Germany in 1965. After training as a cabinet maker at Parnham College in England he studied Design at the Royal College of Art in London from 1988-1990. Since setting up his own design practice Konstantin Grcic Industrial Design in Munich in 1991 he has developed furniture, products and lighting for some of Europe’s leading design companies. Grcic’s most well-known designs include the Chair One for Magis and the Diana series of sheet metal side tables for ClassiCon, all of which Aram Store stock.

ClassiCon has, from its inception, aspired not only to offer pieces by established figures such as Eileen Gray and Eckart Muthesius but also to foster contemporary design and to present selected examples alongside these classics from current designers such as Konstantin Grcic and Barber & Osgerby. ClassiCon produces and sells the Eileen Gray Collection as worldwide licensee of Aram Designs Ltd, London. In the early 1970s, Eileen Gray began to collaborate with Zeev Aram to develop her furniture and lamps for series production. Eileen Gray then transferred marketing rights for her designs to Aram in 1973. The ClassiCon brand stands for quality, individuality and a timeless aesthetic – regardless of passing fashions.
