Contemporary Smoke Alarms

Lento and Kupu contemporary smoke alarms by Paola Suhonen

Each year in the UK, fire is the cause of over 800 deaths and over 17,000 injuries. Many could have been prevented by early warnings enabling people to get out before the fire spreads. Smoke alarms are installed in 85% of British households, however it is estimated that at any given time over 30% of them do not work, due to batteries being removed and not replaced.

The Lento and Kupu smoke alarms by Finnish designer Paola Suhonen will enhance the safety of your home, adding a touch of originality and style. Both designs come in a range of colours and are easy to attach to ceilings either by 3M tape or by two screws which are supplied.

The entire surface of the alarm acts as a test button and silences false alarms, so there are no small buttons to push - making it easy to use. Both alarms have an anticipated 5 year battery life (via 3 small CR2450 lithium 'cell' batteries, supplied).
