The original, classic, bentwood chair designed by Michael Thonet (1796 - 1871) in 1859 and still manufactured by his company Gebrüder Thonet GmbH in Germany.

50 million of these chairs had been sold by about 1930, and it is still much sought-after today.

It made from only six components, ten screws and two nuts: minimal, perfectly shaped, elegant and light.
